Umai-ya @ Damansara Perdana

2 weeks ago we ( Kar Yen, Jien Feng and I) gave SP a birthday treat at Umaiya. I insisted that we go to the outlet in Damansara Perdana because I find the food here is better as compared to the other outlet in Uptown.

We were lucky to have a private room because we never make reservation. Everyone had great time and were satisfy with the food served. Most importantly the birthday girl enjoyed the food especially the udon noodles. She claimed that it was the best udon noodles she ever tasted.

Dragon Maki - unagi, cucumber, prawn and avocado
My all time favourite maki. It was a superb
combination of flavours.

Saba shioyaki - grilled mackerel
Must order this, it was a awesome dish! Imagine alone
I can finish the whole fish

Una cheese maki - rice roll with unagi, cheese and fish roe
The taste was good, but I don't quite like the texture because this
maki doesn't taste how a original maki should be. Rightfully,
a maki should consist of crunchy ingredients such as
soft shell crab or tempura prawn.

Chawanmushi
silky smooth chawanmushi

Sushi platter - part of the bento set

Veggie tempura

Green tea ice cream and Goma ice cream
Goma ice cream made of black sesame and peanut. The great thing about this ice cream is the sweetness of the ice cream is balanced by the saltiness of the peanut.
